Irving Woman Saluted as Outstanding Businesswoman

Kathy White of Irving, owner and president of Business Interiors, has been honored as an Outstanding Businesswoman by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The honor came as part of WBENC’s annual Salute to Women’s Business Enterprise Gala in Washington, D.C.
WBENC recognized the contributions of Women’s Business Enterprise Stars across the United States, women business owners who have provided leadership in their respective local business communities.
Ms. White’s company provides office furniture and related workplace services, and has served the Dallas/Fort Worth area for almost 40 years. Her business has become one of the largest full-service office furniture dealerships in the nation and has developed an expertise in various services, such as space planning and design, project management, workplace consulting, relocation services, asset management, furniture rental, and ergonomic assessments.
WBENC, founded in 1997, is the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations. It is also the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs.
The local chapter of WBENC is the Women’s Business Council Southwest (WBCS), which is a founding member of WBENC.
